Mysterious, mystical, spiritual and erotic, enigmatic, passionate, and deeply personal, this is the work and life of A. B. Bradshaw. This fascinating art was displayed in the artist's home, sold and shown privately for 30 years. Inspired by many mystics and artists, Beardsley, Bosch, Albrecht Durer, Gustave Doré were amongst the artist's favorites. This showcase has influences from religious art, Greek, Roman, Arabian styles, the Baroque and Romantic periods, hippies and yoga teachers, in Nepal and India, and Christ on the cross. Demons, angels in the morning and Buddhist monks in Thailand, marriages, children, models, they are all chronicled in symbolic visions by the well traveled artist.

Darkness and Light battle each other. Realistically or in views of fantasy, barflies to spiritual gurus, angels saving souls, the eternal hope of a saving grace, souls ravaging each other, are all accounted for. The women, real and imagined, wove their way into the pictures. Spiritual, mystical poetry, visions of hell and heaven, children's art, madness and sanity it is all annotated on paper.

New prints in the 25 edition range, in the country studio with his muse, have a peaceful element of beauty as the main focus, yet the mystery is ever present. Editions are by master printers, Paul Machnik of Studio P. M., Montreal, Alison Judd of Concordia University, and Alan Flint from Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design.
